Members of the Hometown Standing Committee from Kuzumaki-machi,, Iwate Prefecture, located south of Karumai-machi, visited the Millett Park Solar Pavilion for an inspection tour.
Kuzumaki-machi is actively promoting the introduction of various renewable energies such as solar, wind, and biomass, and is said to be an “energy self-sufficient town” where the production of electricity exceeds the town’s demand in terms of calorific value.
This time, Mayor Yamamoto of Karummai-machi personally guided the tour group to visit our power plant as he introduced the town’s renewable energy initiatives.
