Fourth graders from Karumai Town’s Kogarumai Elementary School visited the Millet Park Solar Pavilion for a social studies field trip.

The purpose of this visit was to promote understanding of facilities and equipment that support our daily lives, and we prepared solar panels for camping, storage batteries, and a “solar grasshopper” powered by solar energy.

We received feedback that the hands-on experience of seeing, touching, and experiencing the equipment deepened their interest in the electricity that supports our daily lives.
