Annual Disaster Prevention and Evacuation Drill Conducted
On March 11th, the anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, we held our annual disaster preparedness and evacuation drill to reaffirm our commitment to disaster prevention. This year, the drill consisted of two parts. In the first part, we watched a video documenting the events of the Great East Japan Earthquake and participated in a panel discussion with staff members who experienced the disaster firsthand. They shared their challenging evacuation experiences and emphasized the importance of maintaining daily awareness of disaster preparedness, based on those experiences.
In the second part, we conducted an evacuation drill based on the scenario of an earthquake registering an intensity of upper 6 on the Japanese seismic scale. While prioritizing safety and confirming evacuation routes, all personnel successfully evacuated to the boiler building.
At 2:46 PM, the time the earthquake struck, we observed a moment of silence to honor the lives lost during the disaster.
