On September 26, fuel carriers for the Ishinomaki Hibarino Biomass Power Plant arrived at the HIBARINOKITA and the HIBARINOCHUO NO.1 to unload wood pellets for 11 days.
Combustion tests of the biomass will begin in January 2023, with the aim of starting commercial operation in May.
